Abstract reasoning practice (IQ-style)
Timed abstract reasoning and pattern items for job prep. For practice; not a clinical IQ score. Core or Marathon format on FitCV.
Abstract reasoning items—matrices, sequences, odd-one-out patterns—still appear in graduate and consulting-style screens. FitCV’s IQ-style practice track focuses on those patterns under a timer so you can build calm, methodical habits.
This is not a clinical IQ score and should not be marketed as one. It is timed practice with a transparent report for job-prep contexts.
What “IQ-style” means here
Expect spatial and abstract items closer to classic inductive batteries than to trivia or domain knowledge. The clock is part of the skill: many candidates know the pattern but lose time second-guessing.
Core keeps the session short; Marathon adds volume so fatigue becomes visible. Use the report to see whether errors cluster at the end of the timer.
Smarter practice loops
Do one focused Core, note which pattern families felt opaque, then rest. Mixing this track with aptitude and numerical practice covers most cognitive screen shapes without burning out in a single sitting.
FAQ
- Will this give me an official IQ number?
- No. Labels like “IQ-style” describe item flavor for practice, not a clinical or standardized score.
- How should I use the report?
- Look at accuracy versus time. If you finish early with misses, slow down; if you time out with many blanks, practice triage.
