Who is FitCV for?

From active applicants to career switchers - who benefits most, what the labor-market context looks like in the data, and what FitCV is not trying to replace.

Who is FitCV for?

FitCV is built for people who are actively applying or about to apply and want a faster, clearer read on whether their résumé matches the story they intend to tell - before they burn another month on the wrong positioning.

You are moving (not "someday" planning)

Active job seekers

You are submitting applications at volume. Public cohort studies and career-market writeups frequently cite dozens to hundreds of applications before an offer for many seekers, depending on seniority and geography - plus long median timelines to first offer in some surveys. If that is your reality, you need tight iteration loops: edit, test, learn - without paying for every pass.

Career switchers

You are proving transferable skills across industries or functions. That is harder for both humans and parsers: you need clear headings, evidence, and alignment language that does not rely on insider jargon you do not yet have.

Students and early-career candidates

You may not have a long work history yet; structure and clarity matter even more because recruiters skim fast - seconds, in many lab summaries of recruiter behavior.

You want signal, not hype

If you are tired of contradictory blog posts and want scores, gaps, and plain-language notes you can act on, the product is aimed at you.

You value your time

If you would rather not create another account to see whether your CV fits a role, our no-login core path is designed around that preference - especially in a market where application volume and ATS screening are both real (see our Problem post for benchmarks).

Who FitCV is not trying to replace

FitCV is not:

  • A recruiter or hiring manager (we do not decide who gets hired),
  • A referral network (referrals still outperform cold apply in most public studies),
  • A full-service coach (we do not replace human mentorship),
  • The ML engine itself (we orchestrate upstream analysis and focus on UX clarity).

It is a tool for orientation - so you send stronger applications with fewer blind spots.

If this sounds like you

Start from fitcv.live, pick job alignment when you have a target direction, or résumé-first when you are still shaping the CV. Read the rest of the blog for the data context and feature walkthrough.

Welcome aboard - we are glad you are here.

Labor-market statistics vary by region and role; treat public figures as context, not fate.
