Resume-only analysis
Upload one resume for a focused review. If your organization needs default job criteria for this mode, an administrator can enable that on the server.
PDF, DOCX, or DOC. Max size follows server config.
Important: Your resume must include a clearly visible email address in the document body. Files without an on-resume email may not complete successfully.
Résumé-only review focuses on the document itself: structure, scannability, and evidence—without forcing you to lock a single posting first. It is the right path when you are still shaping direction or want a fast health check before a batch of applications.
You receive structured scores and narrative-style notes. Use them to fix high-leverage issues (headings, proof, clarity) rather than rewriting every bullet at once.
How the flow works
Upload one résumé and start the analysis. When the run completes, you land on a session results view with scores and notes you can revisit while editing. No account is required for the core path.
If your organization enables default criteria for résumé-only mode on the server, those defaults apply automatically; otherwise the engine emphasizes the CV itself.
Example fixes candidates often make next
Move contact details and a clear target headline above the fold. Replace adjective stacks with tools, scope, and outcomes. Break dense paragraphs into scannable bullets a recruiter can parse in seconds.
When you know the next role family, switch to job alignment so the same CV is scored against industry, role, and skills—not only general document quality.
Limitations
Automated review cannot know unpublished internal headcount or a hiring manager’s unstated preferences. It also cannot replace a referral. Treat notes as a prioritized edit list, then verify claims you add so interviews stay consistent.
FAQ
- PDF or DOCX?
- Prefer a clean, text-based PDF. Unusual encodings and heavy graphics can reduce parse quality.
- Can I rerun after edits?
- Yes. Upload the new draft and start another analysis when you are ready.
- Where do ads fit in?
- FitCV may show third-party advertisements so core tools can stay free. Ads are separate from your analysis results.
